Welcome to VPOCUS Australia where innovation meets expertise in veterinary ultrasound education. We've teamed up with world-renowned leaders, Dr Søren Boysen and Dr Serge Chalhoub to revolutionize POCUS techniques in Australia.
At VPOCUS, our mission is to advance veterinary education by introducing the latest updates in POCUS.

Our lectures offer comprehensive insights into POCUS applications and advancements, delivered online by Dr. Boysen and Dr. Serge Chalhoub. Complementing these lectures are our hands-on lab sessions, facilitated in person by a team of Australian experts. Utilizing training techniques developed by Soren and Serge, these methods are applicable to all practitioners and should be incorporated into everyday practice.

Pam is a clinical skills educator at the University of Sydney and an emergency veterinarian at SASH (Small Animal Specialist Hospital). POCUS is an integral part of both her educational and clinical practice.
Over the past 4 years Pam has been collaborating to bring POCUS to Australia and continues to actively deliver POCUS workshops across Australia empowering fellow veterinary professionals with essential skills and knowledge for enhanced patient care.

Mark graduated with first class honours from the University of Queensland and went on to complete a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists. Having a passion for emergency and critical care he was awarded membership in this field in with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and subsequently completed a residency in emergency and critical care at Murdoch University. He became a board-certified specialist with the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2012. He obtained a master’s in veterinary medical science in 2014.
Mark then established the 24-hour emergency and critical care service at the School of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland in 2015. He has taught at the undergraduate level and successfully mentored two specialists in emergency and critical care. He has published many research articles and authored book chapters in respected peer-reviewed international publications. His many interests include cardiopulmonary resuscitation, snake envenomation, toxicology, point of care ultrasound, sepsis and mechanical ventilation.
